THE DETAILS YOU NEED TO KNOW

• What happens to my entry?

  • All registrants will be deferred to the 2027 Chicago River Swim. No action is needed on your end. You will receive confirmation of your deferral.

• What happens to my fundraising?

  • Funds raised through the Chicago River Swim will not be refunded. All funds raised will remain with our official charity partner and continue to support their important work.

• While we may not be able to swim together, the impact of your fundraising remains. We are incredibly grateful to every athlete, donor and supporter who helped make that impact possible.

• Will I receive a refund if the event is cancelled?

  • No. Unfortunately, refunds will not be issued in the event of a cancellation. Significant event expenses are incurred well in advance of event day, including permitting, public safety, venue operations, equipment, staffing and other production costs.

• We understand the disappointment that comes with an event cancellation and do not take this decision, or its impact on our participants lightly. Any decision to cancel will be made only when conditions do not allow us to safely proceed with the event.

• What do I do with my timing chip?

  • All timing chips must be returned - please return your chip using one of the following options:

• • The Westin Chicago River North - Astor Ballroom: 320 N. Dearborn St., anytime between 5:00 AM - 12:00 PM

  • Chicago Brewhouse: Drop off to Chicago River Swim event staff -  between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM today (Sunday, September 20).

  • By Mail: Send your chip to Chicago River Swim, 333 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 2300, Chicago, IL 60601.

    • Timing chips are reusable and should not be discarded or kept as a souvenir. Unreturned chips may result in a $100 replacement fee charged to the registered participant.

• What if I have not picked up my packet?

  • If you are yet to pick up your packet, your event packet, goody bag, and official Chicago River Swim robe will be available from 5AM - 12:00PM today at the Westin River North, Astor Ballroom.

• We invite you to come together at the Post-Race Party which will take place today (10:30 - 1:30 pm) at Chicago Brewhouse along the Riverwalk. Bar bites will be provided to all Chicago River Swim participants. Your participant wristband will be needed, we invite you to wear your official Chicago River Swim robe.
